Call: Audience Development
|Type of Fund||Action programme|
of programme |
Creative Europe's stated aims are to help the cultural and creative sectors
seize the opportunities of the digital age and globalisation, enable the sectors to reach their economic potential, contributing
to sustainable growth, jobs, and social cohesion, and to give Europe's culture and media sectors access to new international
opportunities, markets, and audiences.
|Description of programme
The audiovisual sector is transforming
with the rise of digital technology. This creates additional issues, such as the protection of intellectual property, securing
access to financing in a relatively new and changing sector, and ensuring the proper distribution of works.
|Description of call |
Audience Development initiatives should be supported under this funding line, which increase the interest for European films among new audiences, especially among the young audience. On the one hand, the cooperation of film education initiatives from various MEDIA countries is promoted. On the other hand, innovative forms of presentation of successful European films are supported. Film events outside the usual venues are sought, multiple platforms (TV and VoD, ...) and effective advertising and PR ideas should be included.
