"AMIF - Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund"

The Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) was set up for the period 2014-20, with a total of EUR 3.137 billion for the seven years. It will promote the efficient management of migration flows and the implementation, strengthening and development of a common Union approach to asylum and immigration.

"Union actions"

Description and objective of the assistance to be provided:

  • Enhance solidarity by ensuring consistency and complementarity with EU humanitarian assistance, by providing additional support to address emergency situations of heavy migratory pressure in Member States or third countries, or in the event of mass influx of displaced persons
  • Support ad hoc humanitarian admission programmes aimed at allowing temporary stay on the territory of a Member State in the event of an urgent humanitarian crisis in third countries.

Description of call
"Care for migrant minors, including unaccompanied minors"
The aim of this call is to finance projects focusing on the exchange of good practices and/or provision of the necessary training  to support the implementation/expansion/improvement of alternative care systems for unaccompanied children (such as family-based care, or foster care, or supervised independent housing arrangements) or of effective alternatives to detention of children in migration. Relevant key players (e.g. child protection agencies; ministries/authorities for children or social affairs; ...) have to be involved.

Eligible applicants Federal State / Region / City / Municipality / Local Authority, Association, NGO / NPO, National Government, International Organization
Applicant details At least one public authority from the country/countries where the alternative care or alternatives to detention are implemented must be involved either directly as applicant or co-applicant or indirectly (for example, only as beneficiary of the exchanges of good practices or training).
For-profit organisations can only participate as co-applicants on a non-profit basis in partnership with public entities or private non-profit organisations.

Project Partner Details Applications must involve a partnership of at least two distinct organisations from at least two different Member States participating in the AMIF.
