"Creative Europe"

Creative Europe's stated aims are to help the cultural and creative sectors seize the opportunities of the digital age and globalisation, enable the sectors to reach their economic potential, contributing to sustainable growth, jobs, and social cohesion, and to give Europe's culture and media sectors access to new international opportunities, markets, and audiences.
This will, amongst others, involve funding for:

  • artists and cultural professionals
  • cinemas
  • films
  • book translations

Description of programme
"Culture"
Under the Culture sub-programme, opportunities exist for:
  • Cooperation between cultural and creative organisations from different countries;
  • Initiatives to translate and promote literary works across the European Union;
  • Networks helping the cultural and creative sector to operate competitively and transnationally;
  • Establishing platforms to promote emerging artists and stimulating European programming for cultural and artistic works.

Co-Creation and Co-Production scheme for the music sector
Description of call
"Co-Creation and Co-Production scheme for the music sector"
The general objective of this call is to identify and support at least 10 innovative and sustainable pilot co-production and co-creation programmes for songwriters and musicians in the music sector with a clear European added-value in order to facilitate the development of European music repertoire. The focus should lie on bringing together songwriters and music performers with different nationalities and backgrounds in order to create a diverse learning environment that nurtures creativity and enhance mutual learning. The ‘programmes’ should focus on emerging artists. The programmes should have a clear vision on how the outputs, notably the newly created songs will be promoted in order to reach the audience.
