"Creative Europe"

Creative Europe's stated aims are to help the cultural and creative sectors seize the opportunities of the digital age and globalisation, enable the sectors to reach their economic potential, contributing to sustainable growth, jobs, and social cohesion, and to give Europe's culture and media sectors access to new international opportunities, markets, and audiences.
This will, amongst others, involve funding for:

  • artists and cultural professionals
  • cinemas
  • films
  • book translations

Description of programme
"Culture"
Under the Culture sub-programme, opportunities exist for:
  • Cooperation between cultural and creative organisations from different countries;
  • Initiatives to translate and promote literary works across the European Union;
  • Networks helping the cultural and creative sector to operate competitively and transnationally;
  • Establishing platforms to promote emerging artists and stimulating European programming for cultural and artistic works.

Description of call
"Cross-border Cooperation projects - small projects"

Cross-border projects conducted by European cultural operators active in the cultural and creative sectors will be supported, especially to contribute to audience development by engaging in new and innovative ways with audiences and improve access to cultural and creative works in the Union and beyond with a particular focus on children, young people, people with disabilities and underrepresented groups.
In 2018 max. three priorities out of the five shall be pursued in projects:

  • mobility, intercultural dialog and social inclusion
  • audience development
  • digitalisation
  • new business models
  • education and training

Eligible applicants Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, SMEs (between 10 and 249 employees), Start Up Company, Association, NGO / NPO, Public Services, Microenterprises (fewer than 10 employees), Federal State / Region / City / Municipality / Local Authority
Applicant details Organizations from the art-, culture- and creative industries, which have been existing for at least two years as legal entities at the time of the deadline. Both project developers and co-organizers must be established in eligible countries.

The funding rate is max. 60%
The EU grant can amount max. to 200 000 €

Submission Applications must be submitted to and received by the Executive Agency (EACEA) using the online application form (eForm) on the EACEA-Website. The applicant and all partner organisations must be registered in the Participant Portal.
