"EaSI - Programme for Employment and Social Innovation"

The Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) programme is a financing instrument at EU level to promote a high level of quality and sustainable employment, guaranteeing adequate and decent social protection, combating social exclusion and poverty and improving working conditions.

Objectives:

  • Strengthen ownership of EU objectives and coordination of action at EU and national level in the areas of employment, social affairs and inclusion
  • Support the development of adequate social protection systems and labour market policies
  • Modernise EU legislation and ensure its effective application
  • Promote geographical mobility and boost employment opportunities by developing an open labour market
  • Increase the availability and accessibility of microfinance for vulnerable groups and micro-enterprises, and increase access to finance for social enterprises

"PROGRESS"

The PROGRESS axis of EaSI helps the EU and its countries to improve policies in three thematic sections:

  • employment, in particular to fight youth unemployment
  • social protection, social inclusion and the reduction and prevention of poverty
  • working conditions

Description of call
"Establishing and testing integrated interventions aimed at supporting people in (the most) vulnerable situations"
The call will support innovative and experimental local/regional-level projects aimed at putting in place comprehensive strategies, mechanisms and services ensuring a holistic approach to support people in (the most) vulnerable situations. The aim is to establish and enhance cooperation among various organisations (authorities and non-governmental organisations): 
(a) providing cash benefits; 
(b) delivering personalised social services and other general services; 
(c) providing labour market activation measures and to test its implementation.

Project Partner Details The grant shall be awarded to a consortium of stakeholders (lead applicant and coapplicants), based on the following main eligibility criteria:
1. The lead applicant must be a public authority at central, regional or local level, or a body governed by the public law.
2. At least one of the co-applicants shall be a non-governmental organisation.
3. At least one co-applicant shall be from another EaSI Participating Country than the main applicant.

The Commission expects to fund around 8 proposals
