Description of programme
"Pilot Projects and Preparatory Actions"
This Programme introduces new initiatives that might turn into standing EU funding programmes. A Pilot Project is an initiative of an experimental nature designed to test the feasibility of an action and its usefulness and lasts not more than two years. A Preparatory Action - normally the successor of a successful pilot project on the same matter - is designed to prepare new actions like EU policies, legislation, programmes etc. with funding for not more than three years. The Programme focuses on the following overarching objectives:
  • Promote health, prevent diseases and foster supportive environments for healthy lifestyles taking into account the 'health in all policies' principle
  • Protect Union citizens from serious cross-border health threats
  • Contribute to innovative, efficient and sustainable health systems
  • Facilitate access to better and safer healthcare for Union citizens

Girls4STEM
Description of call
"Girls4STEM"
The aim of this action is to promote and teach Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths subjects (STEM) to girls in attractive and engaging ways, with a view to addressing the ongoing skills gap in the STEM sectors within the EU and especially the shortfall of women & increasing STEM drop-out rates of girls. The underlying rationale is also to empower girls to learn and encourage them to become leaders in tech. There are several types of activities eligible under this call.
