Description of programme
"Interreg Slovakia – Czech Republic"

Interreg SK-CZ addresses the most important cross-border challenges which are linked to the implementation of Europe 2020 in the Slovak-Czech border region. Strategically, the programme contributes to a strengthened cross-border regional innovation capacity as well as to increased cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises and the research and development sector across borders. At the same time it will address environmental issues and promote effective and sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage, taking into account efficient restoration of biodiversity. Activities in these two domains will be complemented by efforts to foster closer co-operation in legal and administrative areas to create a fully integrated border region.

The programme languages are Slovakian and Czech.

This call concerns priority axis 4: Quality environment
Investment priorities: Protecting and restoring biodiversity, soil and promoting ecosystem services, including Natura 2000 and green infrastructures
Specific objective: Biodiversity Conservation border area through cooperation in the protection and coordinated management of important natural areas
It is important that each project has a clear cross-border impact, which is assessed for the following elements:
  • social impact
  • impact on target groups
  • financial impact
  • territorial impact
