"European Maritime and Fisheries Fund"
The overall objective of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) is to promote the fundamental objective of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), which is to contribute to the improvement of the economic, environmental and social performance of the European fisheries sector. Furthermore, EMFF also aims to boost further growth in all European maritime sectors through targeted research and smart investment. In order to achieve these objectives, EMFF is divided into the following Priority Axes (PA):
  • PA1 - Sustainable fisheries
  • PA2 - Sustainable aquaculture
  • PA3 - Implementing the CFP
  • PA4 - Marketing and processing
  • PA5 - Employment and territorial cohesion
  • PA6 - Integrated maritime policy

Maritime Spatial Planning
Description of call
"Maritime Spatial Planning"
The objective of this call for proposals is to support the establishment and implementation of Maritime Spatial Plans in line with the objectives pursued in the framework of the MSP Directive. More specifically, this action intends to support Member States in setting up maritime spatial plans and ensuring plans are coherent and coordinated across marine regions concerened.

Proposals need to address the following priorities:
  • Support the work of MSP competent authorities and/or inter-ministerial bodies in the establishment and adoption of maritime spatial plans
  • Support the development of cross-border cooperation on MSP with bordering Member States and third countries
  • Making use of the best available data and organise the sharing of information, necessary for maritime spatial plans
This call has two topic: 
  1. Topic 1: North Sea and Baltic Sea
  2. Topic 2: Outermost Regions
