"Rights, Equality and Citizenship"

The general objective of the Programme shall be to contribute, in accordance with Article 4 of the Treaty on the EU (TEU), to the further development of an area where equality and the rights of persons as enshrined in the TEU, in the Treaty of the Functioning of the EU (TFEU), in the Charter of fundamental rights of the EU and in the international human rights conventions to which the Union has acceded, are promoted, protected and effectively implemented. The Programme follows 9 Specific objectives:

  1. Promote non–discrimination
  2. Combat racism, xenophobia, homophobia and other forms of intolerance
  3. Promote rights of persons with disabilities
  4. Promote equality between women and men and gender mainstreaming
  5. Prevent violence against children, young people, women and other groups at risk (Daphne)
  6. Promote the rights of the child
  7. Ensure the highest level of data protection
  8. Promote the rights deriving from Union citizenship
  9. Enforce consumer rights

Prevent and combat gender-based violence and violence against children
Description of call
"Prevent and combat gender-based violence and violence against children"
Given the challenges and known gaps in national as well as transnational cooperation and coordination, all proposals submitted should describe how their project would enhance interagency and multidisciplinary cooperation and collaboration, both at national and at transnational levels.
Priorities:
  1. Prevention of gender-based violence (GBV): The focus is on primary prevention, i.e. changing social attitudes and behaviour, in order to end tolerance of all forms of violence
  2. Protection and support for victims and witnesses of domestic violence,
  3. The coordination and/or adaptation of support services for sexual and gender-based violence to include refugees and migrants (children, women, LGBTI persons, men and boys)
  4. Prevention and responding to cyber sexual- and gender-based violence (targeting children, women, LGBTI persons, men and boys)
  5. Promoting the embedding of child safeguarding policies across different settings and sectors

Applicant details The applicants must be public entities or private organisations, duly established in one of the countries participating in the Programme, or international organisations. Organisations which are profit-oriented must submit applications in partnership with public entities or private non-profit organisations.
