"Rights, Equality and Citizenship"

The general objective of the Programme shall be to contribute, in accordance with Article 4 of the Treaty on the EU (TEU), to the further development of an area where equality and the rights of persons as enshrined in the TEU, in the Treaty of the Functioning of the EU (TFEU), in the Charter of fundamental rights of the EU and in the international human rights conventions to which the Union has acceded, are promoted, protected and effectively implemented. The Programme follows 9 Specific objectives:

  1. Promote non–discrimination
  2. Combat racism, xenophobia, homophobia and other forms of intolerance
  3. Promote rights of persons with disabilities
  4. Promote equality between women and men and gender mainstreaming
  5. Prevent violence against children, young people, women and other groups at risk (Daphne)
  6. Promote the rights of the child
  7. Ensure the highest level of data protection
  8. Promote the rights deriving from Union citizenship
  9. Enforce consumer rights

Description of call
"Promote the effective implementation of the principle of non-discrimination"
This call for proposals will focus on the following priorities:
P1. Promoting diversity management and inclusion at the workplace, both in the public and private sector;
P2. Fighting against discrimination based on sexual orientation in society and promoting the equality of LGBTI people through the implementation of the LGBTI List of Actions;
P3. Fighting against discrimination based on racial or ethnic origin and/or multiple discrimination;
P4. Strengthening the fight against anti-gypsyism and various forms of discrimination of Roma;
P5. Restricted to public authorities: promoting non-discrimination on the grounds of sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation;
P6. Restricted to public authorities: collecting equality data.
