Description of programme
"Rights, Equality and Citizenship"

The general objective of the Programme shall be to contribute, in accordance with Article 4 of the Treaty on the EU (TEU), to the further development of an area where equality and the rights of persons as enshrined in the TEU, in the Treaty of the Functioning of the EU (TFEU), in the Charter of fundamental rights of the EU and in the international human rights conventions to which the Union has acceded, are promoted, protected and effectively implemented. The Programme follows 9 Specific objectives:

  1. Promote non–discrimination
  2. Combat racism, xenophobia, homophobia and other forms of intolerance
  3. Promote rights of persons with disabilities
  4. Promote equality between women and men and gender mainstreaming
  5. Prevent violence against children, young people, women and other groups at risk (Daphne)
  6. Promote the rights of the child
  7. Ensure the highest level of data protection
  8. Promote the rights deriving from Union citizenship
  9. Enforce consumer rights

Description of call
"Restricted call for proposals to national Data Protection Authorities on reaching out to stakeholders on the new data protection legislation"
This call for proposals aims to support national Data Protection Authorities in:
  1. Reaching out to stakeholders through raising awareness among business stakeholders, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, and through the general public
  2. Building on the experience from the same call for proposals launched in 2017 and depending on the needs of national Data Protection Authorities, further support to national data protection authorities, where necessary, in reaching out to stakeholders to ensure awareness on the data protection legislation and replying to their queries

Applicant details The applicants must be national Data Protection Authorities within the meaning of Art. 51 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679; partners must be public bodies or private organisations, duly established in one of the countries participating in the Programme
Project duration max 24 months
