Description of call "WiFi4EU- Free Wi-Fi for Europeans" | The
WiFi4EU programme offers vouchers worth €15,000 for municipalities to set up Wi-Fi hotspots in public spaces, including libraries,
museums, public parks, squares. Municipalities should sign up on the www.WiFi4EU.eu portal. On 19 September 2019, the third call will be launched and registered municipalities can apply for WiFi4EU vouchers. The vouchers will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. In the coming year, two more WiFi4EU calls will be launched. |

Financial details | One voucher is worth 15 000 €. The WiFi4EU voucher will cover the equipment and installation costs of Wi-Fi hotspots. Municipalities receiving a voucher should pay for the connectivity (internet subscription) and maintenance of the equipment to offer free and high-quality Wi-Fi connectivity for at least 3 years. |
