Description of programme
"Erasmus+"
The European Union's Erasmus+ programme is a funding scheme to support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport. The Programme is made up of three so-called "Key Actions" and two additional actions. They are managed partly at the national level by National Agencies and partly at the European level by the EACEA. Erasmus+ provides grants for activities in the fields of education, training, youth and sport. It offers opportunities for both individuals and organisations.

Description of programme
"Key Action 1 - Learning mobility of individuals"

Key Action 1 supports mobility in the education, training and youth sectors and aims to bring long lasting benefits to the participants and the organisations involved. The EACEA manages the selection of projects under:

  • Large Scale European Voluntary Service Events
  • Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (including the new partnership with Japan)
The other actions of the KA1 are managed at decentralised level by the National Agencies.

"Youth Exchanges"

Funding bi-, tri- , or multilateral youth exchanges, which allow young people to enhance key competences to gain intercultural learning experiences and to exchange ideas with other young people on specific subjects .

Financial details
  • Contribution to the travel costs of participants, including accompanying persons, from their place of origin to the venue of the activity and return:

100 – 499 km 180 € / Person
500 – 1.999 km 275 € / Person
2.000 – 2.999 km 360 € / Person
3.000 – 3.999 km 530 € / Person
4.000 – 7.999 km 820 € / Person
from 8.000 km 1.100 € / Person

  • Organisational Support:  Package cost per person per day, staggered by country,
  • Special needs support (100%): additional costs directly related to participants with disabilities and accompanying persons,
  • Exceptional costs (100%): Visa and visa-related costs.
  • Preparatory planning visit : Funding for maximum two people per partner group, the second person can only be supported if he/she is a youngster.
