ESF Bremen
Type of Fund Structural Fund
Description of programme
"ESF Bremen"
Bremen’s OP has three main priorities:
  • TO10 - Education and training: Neglected groups of citizens, such as the long-term unemployed and those who are no longer seeking work, will be targeted with measures for qualification-oriented training. The aim is to mobilise these groups to join the labour market and the measures will mainly benefit those with few or no relevant skills. In addition, guidance and counselling will be on offer to ease their transition into work, in particular for women and migrant groups.
  • TO8 - Employment and labour market: Restoring the job prospects of the long-term unemployed and helping to integrate disadvantaged jobseekers into society and the workforce are at the core of this priority. Some 5400 people are expected to benefit.
  • TO9 - Social inclusion: Equal access, informal approaches, upgrading knowledge and flexible learning pathways are among the main drivers. All age groups are targeted, with a particular focus on disadvantaged young people and adults. Also, young jobseekers will be helped with new approaches to the apprenticeship system. This priority aims to make a real contribution to boosting the supply of skilled workers for the future.
