Description of programme
"ESF Saarland"
The ESF operational programme (OP) for Germany’s Saarland will focus on the following priorities for investment:
  • TO 8 - There will be a strong focus on helping workers, enterprises and entrepreneurs to become more adaptable to change. For example, through continuous training schemes for SME employees to boost and broaden skills. In addition, employment and training measures will focus on underrepresented groups such as older workers, migrants and women.
  • TO 9 - Focus on boosting social inclusion and combat poverty and discrimination. Over half of the funding will go to this priority. And measures to promote active inclusion will be central to promoting equal opportunities and improving employability for disadvantaged groups. There will be an additional focus on young people and the needs of the long-term unemployed.
  • TO 10 - Focus in education and training aim at reducing and preventing early school-leaving and promoting equal access to high-quality education. The second is improving access to and quality of tertiary education to increase participation and qualifications, especially for disadvantaged groups.
