Programme: ESF Thüringen

ESF Thüringen
Type of Fund Structural Fund
Description of programme
"ESF Thüringen"
The ESF operational programme (OP) for Germany’s Thüringen will focus on the following priorities for investment:
  • TO 8 - It will promote sustainable and high-quality jobs and mobility for the economically inactive and jobseekers, with a particular focus on helping young people get their first job. Entrepreneurship and the adaptability of both workers and companies will be boosted, especially in SMEs. There is a focus on creating more start-ups and supporting research groups and young scientists.
  • TO 9 - Helping disadvantaged groups play a full role in society and working life. This will involve projects aimed at improving their employability and boosting skills and qualifications. Thuringia also intends to encourage community-led development strategies to achieve these aims.
  • TO 10 - Education, from primary school to lifelong learning, is the third priority. As well as offering work-relevant skills and qualifications, projects will persuade young people to stay in education. In view of the demographic challenges Thuringia is facing, ESF projects will help young people get better qualifications and then move smoothly into work.
