Description of programme
"Infrastructure and Environment Poland"
This National Operational Programme aims to support Poland in its shift towards a more competitive and low-carbon economy that is characterised by the efficient use of natural resources, low power consumption and a significant reduction of CO² emissions. Investments aim at protecting the environment, adapting to climate change and at making energy networks and transport more sustainable. Furthermore, it also aims to improve the living conditions of the Polish citizens. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme is divided into the following Priority Axes (PA):
  • PA1 - Low-carbon economy
  • PA2 - Protection of the environment, including adaptation to climate change
  • PA3 - Development of the TEN-T road network and multimodal transport
  • PA4 - Road infrastructure for towns
  • PA5 - Development of railway transport in Poland
  • PA6 - Development of low-energy public transport in cities
  • PA7 - Improvement of energy security
  • PA8 - Protection of cultural heritage and development of cultural resources
  • PA9 - Strengthening strategic health care infrastructure
