Description of programme
"Maritime and Fisheries Romania"

The overall objective of this Programme is to promote environmentally sustainable, resource efficient, innovative, and competitive and knowledge based fisheries and aquaculture as well as actions to promote blue growth and maritime skills and knowledge. Furthermore, the Programme focuses on the following 6 Union Priorities (UP):

  • UP1: promoting environmentally sustainable, resource-efficient, innovative, competitive and knowledge-based fisheries 
  • UP2: fostering environmentally sustainable, resource-efficient, innovative, competitive and knowledge-based aquaculture
  • UP3: implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP)
  • UP4: increasing employment and territorial cohesion
  • UP5: fostering marketing and processing
  • UP6: implementation of the Integrated Maritime Policy (IMP)
