Description of programme "Quality of Environment Slovakia" | This Programme focuses on the sustainable use of natural resources, active adaptation to climate change with particular focus on flood protection, promotion of risk management in the area of climate change, and support to energy-efficient solutions in all sectors. Some of the key expected impacts are to protect more than 12 000 citizens with flood protection measures, to improve wastewater treatment for more than 200 000 additional citizens, and increase the share of renewable energy sources to 15.5% of gross final energy consumption. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme focuses on the following Priority Axes (PA):
