Description of programme
"ROP Ionian Islands"
The overall objective of this Regional Operational Programme is to boost economic development and to create employment. Furthermore, it seeks to support SMEs in order to increase their competitiveness and to become more innovation-driven. Lastly, it also aims to improve waste water treatment and solid waste recycling while increasing energy efficiency. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme focuses on the following Priority Axes (PA):
  • PA1 - Enhancing regional competitiveness by developing entrepreneurship, innovation and ICT
  • PA2 - Protection of the environment and sustainable development
  • PA3 - Strengthening transport infrastructure
  • PA4 - Strengthening education, health and welfare infrastructure
  • PA5 - Social inclusion, human resource development and the fight against poverty and discrimination
