Description of programme
"ROP Thessaly"
This Regional Operational Programme aims to reverse the shrinking of the entrepreneurial and productive activities and enhance competitiveness, attractiveness and the outward-looking character of the Thessaly region. Furthermore, it seeks to promote the cooperation between enterprises and research institutes, the development of a sustainable transport system and the protection of natural and cultural resources. Lastly, the Programme also focuses on tackling unemployment and social inclusion. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme is divided into the following Priority Axes (PA):
  • PA1 - Strengthening the competitiveness and extroversion of enterprises (especially SMEs), transition to quality entrepreneurship, cutting edge innovation and increasing regional added value.
  • PA2a - Development and utilization of human resources capabilities - active social inclusion.
  • PA2b - Supporting infrastructures and human resources development
  • PA3 - Environmental protection - transition to an environmentally friendly economy
  • PA4 - Development - modernization - complementing infrastructure for economic and social development
