Description of programme
"ROP Western Greece"
The overall objective of this Regional Operational Programme is to boost economic development and to create employment in Western Greece. Furthermore, it seeks to support SMEs in order to increase their competitiveness and to become more innovation-driven. Lastly, it also aims to improve waste water treatment and solid waste recycling while also focusing on increasing energy efficiency. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme focuses on the following Priority Axes (PA):
  • PA1 - Enhancing competitiveness and business outreach, moving to quality entrepreneurship, cutting edge innovation and increasing domestic value added
  • PA2 - Environmental protection - Transition to an environmentally friendly economy
  • PA3 - Development - Modernization - Complementing transport infrastructure
  • PA4 - Human resource development, promoting social inclusion and fighting poverty and discrimination
  • PA5 - Development - Modernization - Complementing social infrastructure, health infrastructure and education
