Description of programme
"Rural Development Basilicata"
The Rural Development Programme for Basilicata focuses mainly on 3 areas:
  1. Preserve and enhance the ecosystem and resource efficiency
  2. Improve competitiveness of farmers
  3. Improve living conidtions in rural areas and ICT infrastructure
In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme focuses on the following Priority Axes (PA):
  • PA1 - Knowledge transfer and innovation in agriculture, forestry and rural areas
  • PA2 - Farm viability, competitiveness and sustainable forest management
  • PA3 - Food chain organisation, including processing and marketing of agricultural products, animal welfare and risk management
  • PA4 - Restoring, preserving and enhancing ecosystems in agriculture and forestry
  • PA5 - Resource efficiency and shift to low carbon and climate resilience economy in agriculture, food and forestry sectors
  • PA6 - Social inclusion, poverty reduction and economic development in rural areas
