Description of programme
"Rural Development Latvia"
The overall objective of this Rural Development Programme is to improve the competitiveness of farms and enterprises in the rural areas of Latvia. Therefore, the Programme focuses on improving the infrastructure and on providing training and services. Moreover, it supports the transition to organic farming. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme is divided into the following Priority Axes (PA):
  • PA1 - Knowledge transfer and innovation
  • PA2 - Competitiveness
  • PA3 - Food chain
  • PA4 - Ecosystems management
  • PA5 - Resource efficiency and climate
  • PA6 - Social inclusion and local development
