Description of programme
"Rural Development Austria"

This Rural Development Programme focuses on improving the competitiveness and living conditions of farmers. Furthermore it aims to contribute to preserving biodiversity and to decrease emissions in regions where groundwater quality goes beyond the thresholds. Lastly, it also seeks to tackle the issue of rural depopulation. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme focuses on the following Priority Axes (PA):

  • PA1 - Knowledge transfer and innovation
  • PA2 - Competitiveness
  • PA3 - Food chain
  • PA4 - Ecosystems management
  • PA5 - Resource efficiency and climate
  • PA6 - Social inclusion and local development
