Description of programme "Interreg Slovakia – Hungary" |
The programme aims at the joint protection, development and touristic utilization of the border regions' common natural and cultural heritage. This includes joint water management, disaster avoidance, the creation of the right conditions for the renewal of cultural and architectural heritage and the development of cross-border sustainable tourism. In order to achieve these objectives, the Programme focuses on the following Priority Axes (PA):

Financial details | Co-financing: max. 85% PA1 - Nature and culture SO1.1 - To increase the attractiveness of the border area: min. 200 000 € - max. 3 000 000 € PA2 - Enhancing cross-border mobility SO2.1 - Increasing the density between border crossing points along the Hungarian-Slovak border: Not specified because of the wide range of possible activities in the expected projects. Please note that the soundness of the planned project budget will be assessed just as strictly as in case of any other SO.
