The general objective of the Programme shall be to contribute, in accordance with Article 4 of the Treaty on the EU (TEU), to the further development of an area where equality and the rights of persons as enshrined in the TEU, in the Treaty of the Functioning of the EU (TFEU), in the Charter of fundamental rights of the EU and in the international human rights conventions to which the Union has acceded, are promoted, protected and effectively implemented. The Programme follows 9 Specific objectives:

"Progress Programme: Anti-discrimination and Gender Equality strands"
PROGRESS is the EU's employment and social solidarity programme. It was established to support financially the implementation of the objectives of the European Union in employment, social affairs and equal opportunities.
With regard to the programme "Rights, Equality and Citizenship", PROGRESS covers both gender equality and tackling discrimination themes.

|Applicant details||The applicants and partners must be public entities or private organisations or international organisations. Organisations which are profit-oriented must submit applications in partnership with public entities or private non-profit-oriented organisations.|

|Financial details|| The EU grant applied for cannot be lower than 75 000 €. |
The total call budget is 4 000 000 €.
The funding under the Justice and the REC programmes is based on the co-financing principle - unless otherwise specified in the call notice the grant cannot constitute more than 80% of overall eligible project costs.
