Description of programme "Copernicus - Europe's eyes on Earth" | Copernicus is the European Union's Earth Observation Programme, looking at planet Earth and its environment for the ultimate benefit of all European citizens. With its free, full and open data policy, the Copernicus programme intends to boost innovation and economic growth. In this context, Copernicus regularly publishes open calls for proposals through which grants and prizes for projects and ideas based on Copernicus Earth Observation- and in situ data are being awarded. |

Description of call "Copernicus incubation" | The Copernicus Incubation Programme supports the most innovative and commercially promising business
applications based on Copernicus data and services. The programme awards 50,000 EUR to 20 European start-ups every year. The
investment goes toward their incubation or acceleration in a programme or organisation of their choice. |

Applicant details | Eligible are start-ups or a team of entrepreneurs with max. 5 years of operational history since the registration of the business. Applicants should set up a company in any EU28 country, Iceland or Norway before receiving any funding from the programme (but not necessarily before applying). |

This programme only accepts joint applications of start-ups and a support programme. The start-up must be the lead applicant
and sole beneficiary. A list of eligible support programmes can be found on the website of Copernicus incubation. |
